We found the service and atmosphere to be wonderful. The hosts and servers were very warm and friendly. The food was delicious and the decor warm and inviting.

The space is also enhanced decorated with the photography of Robert Keeling, a local photographer transplanted from Chicago, Illinois. His large black and white portraits of area farmers and small business people made the atmosphere even warmer and inviting. We looked online and found some of his work displayed below.

Ulysses S. Grant

Located in Jo Daviess County, Illinois, Galena is the largest city and county seat, with an estimated population of about 4,000. The city is a popular tourist destination known for its American history, historical architecture, as well as its winter ski and summer golf resorts. Galena was the home to Ulysses S. Grant, Civil War general and 18th President of the United States, plus several other war generals, entertainers and politicians.
